Just loved the dig that Jay went 0/6 for recruits in 2020. Good God...gotta find something to say that is negative. BTW, the roster was full, whoever would have come-somebody would have had to red shirt. Watch, the class for 2021 will be one of the best classes Jay will have had.

I think X at 2 is spot on. I think Hall is way to low.

Man, I really want to see G'Town resurrected. It's good for the BE and CBB on the whole.

But, I'm afraid it won't happen until Ewing is gone. Their next hire is crucial. I hope they follow the path of my Huskies and make their next HC a mid-major riser who really buys into the tradition. Maybe like a Pikiell. They should spare no expense, even if it means mortgaging the short-term financial future like UConn did.

Yup, pretty grim. Between those 2 years, SHU has only finished tied for 3rd in the Big East every time and never missed an NCAA Tournament. Is the lack of a sweet 16 appearance disappointing? Sure. And high school recruiting rankings are overrated - SHU consistently has players outperforming their rankings. But if 2 conference championships (1 tourney 1 rs) not missing an NCAA Tournament since 2015 is "grim," well then ouch for pretty much everyone other than Nova.

Listen, to the people who actually pay attention to my posts, I have a pretty good grasp on Villanova recruiting, and probably recruiting as a whole. I have sometimes had access to REAL inside information since I had direct contacts with former St. John's and Pitino connections, as well as a previous Villanova assistant. Not so much anymore. With that being said, it was well known that Jay wasn't going full press on 2020, he just wasn't. We already have a logjam at several positions, and we weren't graduating anybody of significance. The whole team is back, besides Bey obviously, but he almost came back as well. Not to mention Bryan Antoine is now healthy.

This is not a, "OH MY GOD! YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT VILLANOVA OR JAY WRIGHT OR I AM GOING TO AUTOMATICALLY LOSE MY MIND" post. This is just coming from a guy who truly has a grasp on Villanova's 2020 recruiting, and if I knew who the 6 players these guys were referring to, I could shoot down their claim pretty quickly.

Anyway, just look at Villanova's 2021 class. We are about to land Angelo Brizzi as well, and many people feel Trevor Keels will end up at Nova as well. If Jay was truly looking to land anybody for the Class of 2020, he would have. End of discussion. That 0-6 comment is baseless.

I don't understand that 0-6 comment/"dig" at Nova/J Wright either. It was made abundantly clear through that entire recruiting cycle that Nova was not looking to bring anyone in. The fact that Nova had offers out to ONLY 6 recruits proves that they were not interested in building a class. To build a 2-4 player recruiting class, a coach is going to extend roughly 25-30 plus offers (I randomly perused Florida State's offer list=31/Georgia Tech=39)

Hey man I agree with you for the most part. I'm actually the guy who wrote it, so I'll clarify. What Nova has put together since realignment has been incredible. I knew Jay Wright wasn't really going that hard recruiting for the 2020 class, because if he was, he wouldn't have gotten nobody to sign. I was just looking for a little something to poke fun at since there's not really much else you can say about Villanova's resume that's negative at this point. Just a little joke, that's all! First of all, thanks for reading man, I appreciate it! I'm actually the guy who wrote it. If I were to change something, I'd probably add in conference records. I think that would actually switch Marquette and Seton Hall.

I do stand by the dig at the years in between last year and Angel Delgado's senior year, and I'll tell you why. I think the general public is finally starting to realize that the new Big East is actually better than the old Big East if you pay attention. In light of that, I'm just raising the expectations for what is considered a good year for a Big East school. Congrats to Seton Hall and everyone in Newark for getting to the dance all the times you have, but it's time to start expecting second weekend appearances from teams in our conference. We have had 3 of our 10 teams (not counting UConn) get to a sweet sixteen since realignment. I really think Seton Hall's fanbase needs to put a little more weight on that stat and start moving into that category.

What sucks too is that probably would have happened this year if not for the rona.
