From https://ope.ed.gov/athletics/#/. Interesting data, as always.

Big East Revenues
1. Villanova - $51,223,342
2. Providence - $44,736,095
3. Georgetown - $43,199,926
4. Marquette - $40,722,217
5. St. John's - $36,591,921
6. DePaul - $31,235,997
7. Butler - $26,688,373
8. Creighton - $26,596,950
9. Seton Hall - $26,056,326
10. Xavier - $22,860,050
Average: $34,991,120

UConn is $79,100,614; however, if you eliminate football revenues, their total revenues drop to only $62,876,206, still tops in the league. FWIW, UConn is listed as a member of the Big East, despite not officially joining until 7/1. If you add UConn's complete athletic finances fully, then the average BE annual revenue improves to $39,001,074.

I guess the "non-allocated revenue" in those school numbers ($5.8 mil for Xavier) comes from Fox and some other sources...maybe shared tournament dollars?

Big East basketball message board • AD Revenues ('18-'19)

GoldenWarrior11 – you missed a golden opportunity to showcase Marquette University by posting the Total Revenue amounts, which show Marquette in fifth place (if you include UConn’s $62,876,206), and Xavier in dead-last 11th place, which I found hard to believe.

If you had selected the Basketball filter, you get far more relevant figures for this thread:

Survey Year • Institution Name • Revenues Men's Team

2018 • Marquette University • $21,856,683

2018 • University of Dayton • $16,281,364
2018 • Villanova University • $14,428,932
2018 • Xavier University • $13,916,975
2018 • Georgetown University • $13,573,946
2018 • Providence College • $11,117,186
2018 • St. John's University • $10,028,677

2018 • University of Connecticut • $9,325,922
2018 • Creighton University • $8,590,055
2018 • Butler University • $8,228,482
2018 • Seton Hall University • $7,506,127
2018 • DePaul University • $6,793,520

BTW, On March 22nd, after submitting this post for approval, I informed the Moderators that I would likely not be posting on the main board again until late October (out of respect for the fans of the 11 Big East schools), but as I am drawn to Quantitative References as a moth is drawn to a flame, I wanted to contribute to the thread with some relevant information.

How Much Is Your College-Basketball Team Worth? - Andrew Beaton, The Wall Street Journal - April 8, 2019

RANK SCHOOL ... VALUATION ... 1-YR VALUE CHANGE

18. University of Dayton .... $100,010,000 ... 18.40%
26. Marquette University ..... $72,400,000 .... 4.50%
28. Villanova University ....... $71,080,000 ... 64.90%

38. Xavier University .......... $61,870,000 ..... 3.30%
50. Georgetown University ... $50,270,000 ... -13.90%

The Wall Street Journal’s April 8, 2019 article shows the same order for the top 4 Big East schools. I assume that UD’s $100 Million+ valuation reflects the fact that UD never plays a home game in a rented arena. That’s all. I won’t be posting on any basketball threads until the pumpkins are on sale again. Enjoy it while it lasts, and keep safe.
