Most ranked Big East teams since 2013. Not sure I remember a Big East doubleheader on FS1 with all ranked teams. Outstanding for myself to type it. Very proud!

Wednesday 2/12
23 Creighton @ 10 Seton Hall, 6:30, FS1 - Gus Johnson, Bill Raftery
Line: Seton Hall -6/145.5

Xavier @ 19 Butler, 6:30, CBSSN - Carter Blackburn, Pete Gillen, Jamie Erdahl
Line: Butler -4.5/128.5

18 Marquette @ 15 Villanova, 8:30, FS1 - Brian Custer, Jim Spanarkel
Line: Villanova -4/146.5

Providence @ St. John's, 8:30, CBSSN -Andrew Catalon, Steve Lappas, Jon Rothstein
Line: Providence -1/142.5

Quite nice to see all these ranked teams in action, hopefully we get some good games.

It's annoying that X - Butler is on CBS sports network for what feels like a huge game for both teams, but I honestly can't complain considering the stacked FS1 doubleheader.

I'm gonna need to have the secondary games on my computer for this one!

Seed possibilities are starting to coalesce with 7 games to go. The way I see it is that three-game differentials are hard to make up but possible if the lagging team still has a game or two against the team ahead.

- Seton Hall is up 3 games with a win over Marquette and over Villanova, but Creighton still controls much of their own one-seed destiny starting with this game. If Seton Hall wins, they virtually lock up the one seed, but a Creighton win keeps hope alive for them. Overall, it looks like it will be Seton Hall or Creighton, just like we all predicted.

- The two and three seeds are up for grabs. There's of course the three-way tie for 2nd place right now and then two more teams right behind. There are too many tiebreaker scenarios still beyond that, but we've at least narrowed it down to these five plus maybe Seton Hall. Xavier loses tiebreakers to both Creighton and Marquette, so I exclude them.

- The 4 seed contestants include the five above plus Xavier. If Xavier beats Butler, this starts to become very possible for them, especially if Marquette beats Villanova. If Xavier loses, we can probably remove them from contention here unless Villanova also loses.

- The 5 through 7 seeds can include anyone above but especially the loser of Marquette and Villanova to go with Butler, Providence, Xavier, and Georgetown. Here's where things get really interesting as teams try to avoid playing on Wednesday in the BET.

- The 8 seed is plausibly Butler, Providence, Xavier, Georgetown, or St. John's but more likely Xavier or Georgetown.

- The 9 seed is likely St. John's or DePaul, with a possibility of Georgetown.

These four games will do a lot to reveal likely standings.

I have learned to never bet against Vegas, but no idea why they have been so confident about Nova recently. I think Nova will be fine, probably make it to Friday night of the BE tournament, be around a 5 seed, win a game or 2 in the dance, but this is not the 2016 or 2018 team. If Marquette wins by 10 tonight it would not surprise me. Guys like Gillespie and Bey have been phenomenal, but until a few other guys step up and be consistent for us, we just don't have the weapons to be a real threat as of right now. It could change at anytime, but not there yet.

Why is it annoying? It is a big game. CBSSN is a solid network. I like the new bylaw that each team in the Big East is on CBSSN. Two games max. So, not one school gets it's games pushed over to CBSSN.

So the Pirates should just throw lobs to Gill and Obiagu on every play tonight, right?

The Jays will concede that if you guys agree to concede your 3 pt defense. Maybe Mac should go small and just fire. Z, TSA, Mitch, Jefferson and Mahoney. Best way to negate Gill is by having your big hit a couple 3's and forcing Willard to pull him. Though we tried that a bit on Saturday and Mamu killed us as a small ball 5 when Gill was out. Interesting styles in that one.

I'll be interesting for sure. The height discrepancy in this game is incredible.

Our guards are going to bite the ankles of the SH bigs and bring them down to size! The Houston defense. Otherwise lob city!
