Other teams who won it during that time includes Syracuse/BC/Pitt/Louisville (ACC), WVU (Big 12) and UConn (AAC). Despite that, we not only recently renewed a long term lease with MSG (despite efforts from the ACC/B1G to steal it) but also sell it out consistently.
Needless to say, Villanova almost single handedly saved the Tournament from losing it's luster. Since the reformat 5 years ago, we've had 5 different teams compete in the finals and 3 winners. This year I think there's a really good chance the other half (Marquette, St. John's, Butler, Georgetown, DePaul) can make it to the finals.

The problem for St John's is they'll have that 3/6 or 4/5 game to deal with against a team they've lost to already almost for sure.
