Popped over to the DePaul 247 site and saw that many of their fans still consider this a rivalry. Maybe it was when the series was even at 36-36 when DePaul was ending their era of being good in 92. since then MU's record against DePaul is 40-11. This is no longer a rivalry.
For the last 5 years, DePaul has been mediocre OOC but also mediocre in conference.
This is the first year they are actually playing well in conference. That, combined with their recruiting, will hopefully be very good for the future.
That said, they sucked this year OOC and thus I'll continue to root against them. Until they can put together at least a decent OOC, I hope to see them lose. Sorry DePaul fans, hopefully next year.
Looking forward to see how X responds to the lost against Nova. X has played well since the lost to Seton Hall, I still think X has a chance to go 9-9 and get an NIT bid. Even though last years team was had more depth and talent, this team has been more fun to watch. These last three games they have played harder than any game last year. It's easy too root for a team when they are winning but there is something specially about seeing the team play with the effort has has shown in the last two weeks.
