Can’t believe we are favored in this one. Need a win badly.

Geeze Xavier, it's 2018, get your clock in order. First, you don't start the clock at all, then, you start it before anyone touches it. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought this game was at HInkle! ;)

If you are watching your team play Creighton and see McDermott switch to a 1-3-1, just sit back and enjoy.... you will get any shot you want

It looks like there are no teams bad enough to soak up losses.

definitely not the great weekend for the league. St John's and Butler with losses to DePaul and Xavier- and Creighton doesn't get the big win they needed(though I think it's better for the league long term as better if Nova gets a good seed)

looking at league standings so far. 4 teams that folks thought were tourney possible teams going into conference play- are sub .500 right now. St John's, Butler, Creighton, and Providence. 3 weeks in and only Nova and Marquette have fewer than 2 losses....

Butler and Creighton have put a huge dent in the league's hopes of getting 5 teams in the tournament. Nova is slowly creeping into lock status. Marquette, St. Johns, Seton Hall just treading water. Other than Nova every other team has a battle on their hands for every game.

I don't think it will happen, but the league could get as few as 3 teams in if things break the wrong way. People have long wanted DePaul to right the ship, but this shows the value of having a dog in the league to soak up losses. You just don't want the same team filling that role every year. DePaul is now a land mine for teams in the league. Georgetown is as well, unless they can reach the 11 BE wins that would likely put them in the mix for a bid. Right now, only Marquette, and Nova are truly locks. St. John's and Seton Hall are in right now, but still have to be careful. St. John's lack of quality wins ooc leaves them especially vulnerable. The rest are on the outside looking in, although a strong run could elevate a few teams.

it would have to be pretty freakish for that to happen with only 3.

Where I do think the Big East could "steal" a bid is in the BET with someone outside winning the tourney to get the auto bid.
