No surprises at the top...Nova, Prov, Jays...

SJU at #10 lol...

Assuming that changes if Ponds returns (which I expect). I'm not that optimistic in next year, but finishing 10th would be a disaster.

I know it's a "too-early" ranking, but this one's ridiculous in assuming the majority of players that's already declared for the draft to come back.

fyi Matt has unfollowed Femi.

So far Keita is our only big guy. Better hope he don't foul out or get injured.

When our recruiter Matt unfollows a recruit on Twitter it usually means we are out of the running for them.

1. Nova
2. Marquette
3. Creighton
4. PC
5. Butler
6. Xavier
7. G'Town
8. SJ
9. Seton Hall
10. DePaul

Any SJU know what I'm talking about lol.

If a recruit is a possibility to come then Matt follows then, when he unfillows them then we know the ship has sailed.
Yeah sounds like amateur shit.

Meanwhile everyone else is actually out there recruiting, and has more then one recruiter

How is it surprising SJ was picked 8-10 in any poll for next year? Of course we have talented guards but we have no coach and no bigs. If we actually recruited decent bigs like everyone else on planet earth and got 2 or 3 solid ones with good size in addition to a real coach, I'd pick us to be top 5 and in the tournament.

I'll throw one out there:

1. Villanova
2. Marquette
3. Providence
4. Creighton
5. Seton Hall
6. Xavier
7. Butler
8. Georgetown
9. St. John's
10. DePaul

Wow...half the teams in this list had me saying "how can I have them this low?" but I guess that's what happens when you have such a strong league top to bottom. The top of the league (place 2-4ish) could be a little weaker this coming year than in the past, but nobody 1-9 should consider an NCAA Tournament bid an unreasonable goal.
