I have no knowledge one way or the other, but it is possible that one or more of the guys some think should have been picked declined or otherwise indicated they weren't interested. Particularly if you have high hopes for getting drafting or a decent shot at an NBA camp invite, you might not want to risk injury - or your agent might have encouraged you not to participate. Again, no clue if that's the case for any of them. But it would not surprise me.

Wow, that is a shocker. Was wondering how well they would do. Would still like to see some of those games.

Big East beats the MAC 21-19, apparently Macura sat with a knee injury? That may explain why he couldn't guard that guy from the A-Sun who was repeatedly blowing by him yesterday. Hard to see the BE getting very far if they're down to 3 guys.

I'll be optimistic and chalk the A-Sun loss up to Macura being hurt and Rodriguez being gassed (he played in the college all Star game earlier in the day, not sure how many other 3x3 players did).

looked like a lot of the power conferences went out early. Only Big Ten and SEC advanced out of pool play. The other 6- MEAC, SWAC, America East, WCC, Big West, and Ivy. the SWAC and MEAC advanced into the semifinals actually. Big Ten wound up winning it all actually.
