I don't buy it. This doesn't fit the narrative the conference is on a down-hill trajectory and that our high number of bids annually is actually a detriment because of the seeds. Curse non-sky-is-falling posts. We need more negativity in order to appeal to our resident haters!

Wow, you must be making Stever really dig for rebuttal evidence. Half a day gone and nothing. Gonna be harder to put a negative spin on this one, but I have faith in Stever.

It may take some time to make AAC's 50,279 total attendance and 8,379 average attendance (in Orlando, no less) look better than BEs 93,950 total attendance and 18,790 per session. But, leave it to Stever.

The Big Ten listed attendance on 1st round Wednesday at over 14,000. Pictures showed about 4,000 in the building.

Great to see the fans are showing up at MSG for the Big East Tournament. That St. John's/Georgetown game looked filled on FS1.

I wonder what the average ticket price was. If it was $100, for example, with 93,950 tickets sold would be $9.4 million before expenses.

I think you have the AAC's attendance wrong 5,027 and 837 are more accurate. I don't know where you got those numbers but there is no friggin way they averaged 8,000 per game, every single time I switched over it was empty. These must have been included tickets bought by the schools but never used.

From the Orlando paper...when I lived there (many moons ago) we called it the Orlando Slantinel. Maybe they are living down to their "nickname." The paper did say that the attendance was according to "league official" so you may be right about tickets bought vs. actual attendance.
