I heard their coach this morning and after that, I'd say he'd be someone if I were Marquette next year needing a new coach potentially if Wojo doesn't work out- that I'd be looking at. Especially with the Majerus ties.

Temple did have a few seasons in the 90s which were better than Nova's, but John Chaney went 11-11 against Nova.

A few seasons in the 90’s? I assume you’re being tongue-in-cheek, right? ;)

From 1988-2001, Temple went to 5 Elite 8’s And was ranked as high as #1. During that span, Villanova didn’t go to any Elite 8’s and only one Sweet 16. Temple was clearly the better program in that era, which is not to say that Villanova didn’t have some very good teams during those years.

From 1990-2001, Temple went to the tournament 12 straight years. Villanova went to 6 and didn’t get even as high as a Sweet 16 in those years. Temple went to the tournament 17 of 18 years, starting in 1984. Even with its NC season in there, Villanova missed the tournament 8 times during that run.

Yeah, but Chaney coached from 82 to 2006. It's debatable to begin with, but "most of his run" needed to be challenged :)

Yeah I think WSU has a poor future and will ultimately be a bad pick up for the American. That's how I felt previously, that they'd be good short term but a waste long term. Wasn't this a team loaded with seniors? And isn't next year's recruiting class weak?

I thought WSU was correctly seeded last tournament, and was overrated from the preseason polls this season. I wanted them in the S16 instead of WVU, but ah wells.

Yeah, I think for Nova this was a bad break- I'd much rather see Wichita over Press Virginia..... Especially with the quick turnaround then to the regional final.

They have a top 36 recruiting class with 2 4 star guys according to 247 composite.

I think what Wichita did do was allow Cincy to be a 2 seed this year. They're probably at least 1 if not 2-3 seed lines better now because of Wichita. That much of a difference in SOS.
