Why would he leave his senior year ?? He probably wants a year off to develop his game more. But he can never play in the Big East again , where would he go ???? He played a ton of minutes this year in a very good conference, isn't that good enough ? He'll be back. He wants Mullin to commit to something.

Just leaves a scholarship open for someone who will actually play. Addition by subtraction.

The good:

Our low level bigs are leaving

The bad:

We can't get anyone equal or better to replace them

Time to put out an ad in the paper. Are you 6'8 or above? 225 lbs or above? Can you rebound, layup, and dunk? Welcome aboard!

Yeah, but he can't play 40 minutes a game, not to mention foul trouble will be an issue at times. I won't even mention if he gets injured. It's very discouraging Owens left. We have no depth in the front court, far less then last year when it was also a problem. So far our recruiting has bombed in that area. Hope Matt pulls a rabbit out of his hat, but I'm getting nervous.

Ahhh don't we have Robert who is raw, oh and Matt is looking at a 6-8 bigman from Oak Hill but he's ranked #313 and plays SF, yeah we're in good hand.
Chris is sure knocking down doors recruiting wise. smhhhhh

It's Ponds, Simon, and Clark If Ponds leaves, we're done.

Chris is just fine with the coaching staff as is. Seems like the Lavin regime all over.

Yup just like end of Lavin regime. Snagged a few good recruits but then severely underachieved with them and then bombed recruiting. At least Lavin had some decent seasons. Mullin's have all been atrocious. There are better bigs than we have in the MAAC and even they won't leave to come here.
