It's always tough when a team has their season end, especially after a hard fought game. I'm looking at this one as more of a statement game by X, since many national experts and even our own neutral HLOH analyst (I'm looking at you Bill Marsh) had us being an upset special today. I believe Coach Mack and team were looking to set the tone today, not only for the BET but the NCAAT as well. Don't you just Love March?

X played a great game today. They sure looked like a #1 seed. Their defense was especially impressive. Terrific win.

Fortunately the Hall's threes were falling at an unusual rate, that's about the only reason the Pirates are up at the half. They need to clean things up big-time in the second half if they want to hang on because I wouldn't count on the threes continuing.

Eh, I wouldn't worry if I were you. Seton Hall's got some legendary free throw defense rolling. At this point I wonder why Butler spends the money to travel to the tourney.

Butler's been the better team so far, unless the Hall makes some major adjustments, BU should win.

Wow, outstanding game and outstanding finish in the late game at 11:36pm EST. With 20 seconds left, Seton Hall down 2, Carrington with a beautiful baseline move and old fashioned 3 point play for a 1 point lead with 10 seconds to play...

Butler had 2 timeouts but played through... Baldwin drove to the hoop from the right, missed layup, but a putback by Wideman for a 75-74 lead with 3.6... Powell rushed down and had a deep contested look, which missed off the front of the rim...

Wow, what an adrenaline rush by two great teams who will both be in the Big Dance next week.

Thanks Hall! Once Desi and Sonogo are completely healthy, you guys will do some damage in the Tourney!

Lot of Hall fans wondering why Delgado was on the bench at the end there...2nd straight year the Pirates were eliminated from the BET by a missed box-out in the final seconds. Willard's answer is that he was thinking defense, not rebounding. I don't think that answer's gonna sit well with most.

Losing on a put-back with the conference's all time leading rebounder sitting on the bench is a tough pill to swallow.
