Longtime rivals in both games.
Should be a great tourney.

Should be a good couple games. Hoping Gtown can pull out another win before the end of the season but i wouldn't be surprised if they lost tonight. Im still pretty happy about the way Ewing got this team to play this year. Good times are ahead...

It would be much nicer if we just hadn't choked at Depaul. We'd be ahead of Creighton Providence and Seton Hall and be talking about our seed for the tournament. Wild how one game was the difference between 3rd and 7th this year for Marquette.

I don't know if you'd have been in. While yes would have been 3 seed, still would have wound up at 19-12 with a 48 RPI. Best case that's Dayton.

What is wild is what it would have done to the rest of the tourney....
Providence and Seton Hall would have been your 5/4 game. Not good for PC.
Butler would have been in the 7 position, with a game with DePaul where a loss there and they're really in deep trouble.

Home court advantage + Marcus Derrickson’s bad ankle should give St John’s a win. Marquette should also advance.

Can’t you say the same thing about all the other teams you just mentioned?

Seton Hall and Butler both lost close games to Georgetown that they should have won. Creighton let one get away at home to your guys in a close game. Providence blew one at home to DePaul. Those teams can all say, “If only we hadn’t let that one get away.”

Seems to me that you’ve got to take the good with the bad in this league.

Big difference though is the Marquette loss to DePaul might easily cost them an NCAA tourney bid.

Of course, some of those other losses could cause teams to be in the 7-10 soup rather than a better seed.

Not to mention "the call" at home to Xavier, still makes me mad....
