Posted: Tue Feb 20, 2018 9:16 pmSomething is amiss with this team. They have not been mentally focused since the Nova game. The fact that we don't have any option at point guard is killing also us, and there isn't any way around it. Huge recruiting miss for Mac to have thought Davion, who hadn't played PG in high school since his sophomore year, I believe, would be an effective DI PG. That evaluation error is killing us now. We might get in the tournament and we might surprise someone, but it will most likely be in the playin game if we do,IMO. Maybe if we can hang on and get to Dayton, playing a team that doesn't know our glaring weakness and has only a couple of days to prepare followed by another team with only a couple days to prepare will be to our advantage. One can hope I guess.

Posted: Tue Feb 20, 2018 9:24 pmCreighton doesn't have good half court set. it's one on one. not a lot of ball movement. I think in large part because teams are making it a priority to take away their transition offense. they at least had pick N roll with Kremplj but they don't even have that.

Hopefully the Jays can figure out what's ailing them and get themselves into the tourney (same with the Dawgs) and then who knows what can happen. Definitely wasn't expecting this kind of win. More Big East more better in the NCAAs.

Going to be a really nervous time for Creighton. You would like to think 1 win(even just over DePaul) would get them in, but then again, if only d1 teams you've beaten since Jan 17 are DePaul(x2), St John's, and Georgetown- you might have a problem. 19-11(remembering the d2 game doesn't count) puts their RPI entering the BET at 51.5. I think that's bare minimum what they would need- as 18-12 only gets them a RPI of 64.7. 19 gets them on the bubble, 20 gets them in probably for sure.
