This is the thing. Even if nothing comes of this, getting your name in the mix multiple times is definitely not a good look.

Meh. This is nothing and the NCAA won't do anything because let's be honest - what the big shoe companies are doing with UNC, Kansas, and others have resulted in no penalties - this is a drop in the ocean compared to them.

and so it continues
BREAKING: The US Attorney in Boston has unsealed indictments against at least 47 people in a nationwide college admissions cheating and recruitment scheme, including current and former D-1 coaches at Yale, Georgetown, USC, Wake Forest and Texas.

and it gets weirder:
BREAKING / NBC NEWS: Hollywood actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are two of over 40 people charged in the college exam scheme, according to court documents.

They are charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.

that's right- Aunt Becky from Full House is involved.......

Now elite colleges are being charged with accepting bribes to get their kids admitted. Georgetown mentioned here:

I just saw for Georgetown it's their tennis coach. According to Rob Dauster- no basketball coaches he sees on the list.....

Probably good news for Georgetown tbh, as this doesn't appear to be related to their basketball program. Nice publicity to be mentioned as an elite school. I know they're already a top 20ish school nationally, but never a bad thing to be mentioned with schools like Yale in such a major news story.

You’re kidding right? A coach in the athletic department took over a million dollars in bribes and that’s good for the school? Makes the $6k that a CU coach took appear meaningless especially considering how this undermines the university.

No, it's because the school doesn't appear to be involved and this is the fault of an isolated individual. Nobody cares about college tennis. What Creighton did is far more concerning, as it relates to basketball and could result in sanctions.

Also of note reading bits here and there. Georgetown discovered this did a full investigation and showed the guy the door a long time ago. Other schools look a lot worse where admissions people were accepting bribes. Here it was a tennis coach lying to admissions saying that people were recruited athletes when they weren't and didn't play for the team.

Guys... I'm starting to think that there might be a significant amount of corruption in college sports.
