PJ Carlesimo Question?

For my Seton Hall friends. With his remarkable 12 year run, I've got to believe legendary status and the top spot on your Mt. Rushmore? Is he still involved doing fundraisers, showing up at games, that sort of thing?
I really was a fan of his and was sorry he made the leap to the NBA. Just curious. Thanks!

I always was a big fan of P.J.'s arching eyebrow.

I'm not aware of any fundraiser involvement and he does attend games occasionally, but for the most part it's only when he's asked to for an event - such as a reunion of one of his teams.

Remarkable story. All of Seton Hall wanted him out after 4-5 years. I think I even remember the student newspaper asking for his firing. PC & SHU were having their annual battle in the 8-9 game.

He then wins BE coach of the year in 88 & 89 and the rest is history.

Interesting what would have happened if SHU canned him.

Until I did my five minutes of research I had forgotten how young PJ was when he got the job and was surprised at how long his tenure was at SH.

PJ was at the Georgetown game. They had a bobble head give away for him and they honored the 1993 team that won the Big East Tournament
