I try to only use Bracket Matrix for Bracketology.

#1-Villanova
#1-Xavier
#5-Seton Hall (oddly missing for one bracket, assuming it was an oversight)
#6-Creighton
#7-Butler
#10-Providence (90/96 brackets)

Fifth Team Out-Marquette (14/96 brackets)

Butler now has a 44% chance of at least 12 Big East wins. If they get to 12, that'll be good for around a 6 seed. They probably have upside to around a 3 (but the win odds fall precipitously)

At over 76% for 11 wins, you can almost feel like at least the 7 line is a effectively a lock.

Can we end the season today? This would be an amazing draw.

RPI Forecast has it at 28.38% right now. If they got to 12 wins- their RPI would be at a 18.5. You would have to think that may be a 5 seed quite frankly- though the seed would totally hinge on the BET- could be a 4 or 3 with a few wins, but then with a 1st round loss, a 6.

for 11 wins- RPI Forecast has it at 60.51% chance right now- with a RPI of 25.4. That would be in 7 seed area, though like before would totally hinge on the BET- could be a 4-5 seed with a few wins, but then could drop to a 8 with a loss.

Tonight is a HUGE one for Butler I feel vs Xavier. They're projected to go 5-2 with losses to Nova and Seton Hall. Of all the wins projected, tonight has the lowest percentage in KP(at 58%). It conceptually makes sense- as the other 3 home games are Creighton, Providence, Georgetown, and road game at St John's.

Unfortunately for X, it's at the end of a week with two tough road games. Maybe that could be good for Butler or Creighton.

Maybe fortunately for X, if they win both games, they will be in really good shape. Then we'll also get to see if the Committee would be okay with seeding them #1 without having beat Nova. Now obviously, if X goes 0-2 or 0-3 versus Nova, they won't get a 1 seed, but it will be interesting to see what the Committee thinks when they've only played Nova one time on the road.

We're not getting 7 teams in unless one of the bottom 4 make a magical run through the BET.

If Xavier wins both, they’re undoubtedly a #1. They could possibly jump Purdue also. Purdue also has two tough games (vs. Ohio State, @Michigan St.)

Marquette if they can get 1 win over Seton Hall or 2x vs Creighton- and then beat DePaul, Georgetown, and St John's twice- it's possible- would have a shot. They would be precarious but would be definitely in the discussion.
