Here's Lunardi for today-
Villanova 1 E Pittsburgh Florida St/TCU rd 2
Seton Hall 6 E Dallas Houston, Texas Tech
Xavier 1 W Nashville Wagner, Florida/Arizona St
Butler 7 W Charlotte Arkansas, Duke
Creighton 7 S Nashville M Tennessee, Auburn
Providence 11 MW Dallas Gonzaga, Clemson

Providence last team with bye
Marquette 1st team out

Duke losing opens up Xavier for last 1 seed.

Finally all the losses cost Marquette a spot(GW11 was on other site amazed even last Thursday they were in).

It'll be interesting to see if Seton Hall, Butler, and Creighton can get themselves up out of that 6-7 soup.

Creighton in it has best case scenario imo for a 7 seed with Auburn in rd 2 in Nashville. others are Duke in Charlotte, Michigan St in Detroit, or Kansas in Wichita.

In that scenario, I'd like KU in Wichita as best case.

I dunno. I think I'd prefer Auburn over Kansas, though I can totally see your point. Definitely Auburn/Kansas in those situations much better than Duke or Michigan St.

Marquette ain't making the tournament, fellas. Frankly, it will probably help our seeding if we don't. Nova and X both getting 1/2 seeds would be crazy. It would really set up well for multiple deep runs in the tournament.

yeah just looking at the remaining schedule- Marquette would need to go 5-2 to make it. That would hand St John's 2 losses, DePaul 1, and Georgetown 1. But then it would hand either Seton Hall a home loss, or Creighton a loss(either home or away). So for Marquette to make it- it would ding Seton Hall or Creighton at a point where they can't afford to have many more dings(I would say especially Creighton). 21-9 would be a 31 RPI, 20-10 would be a 40.4 RPI. Yeah- that big of a difference.

One thing that will be fun to see is I think on Saturday they're doing that sweet 16 reveal like they did last year. It'll be interesting to see what the committee says about Xavier and Nova.. Does Nova get the #1 overall seed, and does Xavier get the 4th 1 seed. Does the committee view Butler, Creighton, or Seton Hall in top 4 range right now?

Honestly would like to see X and Nova each lose 3 regular season games down the stretch here to open the door for other teams’ seeding. Don’t think it’ll happen but one can dream right? Think Nova may have a 1 seed locked down and X will do fine as a 1-3 seed. Need Seton Hall, Creighton, Butler And Providence to get some big wins.

If we maintain 6 teams in the top 30 we could be looking at 6 single-digit seeds. I think we should be eyeing 3 sweet 16 teams this year to keep the Big East hype train going through March.
