Seriously, I watched that game and did sh-t I only do when I watch PC - eff bombs, pound the chair, etc.

Really happy about this win - great job.

Great win for us in Milwaukee, and the GTown-Xavier game just started overtime.

This is the most entertaining league I can remember. Every weekend is like it takes place in March.

really impressed with Gtown guards tonight. no turnovers (or very little) down the stretch. and Blair is only freshman. govan, derrickson, picket and blair next year that's a good core of players.

We made some brutal mistakes with a few minutes left and missed some FT's and you couldn't help but think "here we go again". Thankfully, this time we actually finished. Even though this season isn't headed anywhere, this felt GREAT. One of the top moments of my life...not sure if that's pathetic or awesome haha. I'm saving my ticket stub...will never forget that game. It just feels so amazing to finally get some real national attention again. To remind people that we can be a factor sometimes. I think I'm most glad that getting this win validates the Big East overall. I hate overhearing people saying stuff like "the Big East used to be awesome...it's not what it once was". Wins like this show that we are still a very good conference and can go toe to toe with anyone. Very odd but we always seem to play Duke tough. We beat them in 2003, then pounded them in 2011. In 2015, Coach K was going for win #1,000 and we had them on upset alert and lost by 7 I believe. We beat them today. Syracuse and Duke do not look forward to playing us. We have become more of a thorn to them.

Lots of you guys think I'm super negative, but today I cannot be happier. In such a mind-bogglingly terrible season starved for a win, to have it come against #4 Duke at the sold out Garden was just unreal. Lots of St. John's fans came out today despite the 0-11. I'm not going to overreact and say I feel any differently about Mullin as coach, but the fanbase and the Big East needed this one badly. What an awesome day and thanks to our Big East bros for the shout outs.

Freakin' awesome!!! This is one we ALL will remember! Luv ya MM! Your post is spot on! If anybody beats Duke - it's good, But this one is totally F'in AWESOME! Go Johnnies! :o ;) (yes...I'm Shouting, damnit!)

Up to #1 in the RPI And we did on the back of our last place team! Think it will fluctuate but we should end up anywhere from 1-3 in a RPI and KenPom. Pretty damn good. Huge day for the Big East! Providence joins 5 other big east schools in the top 30 of the RPI :)

And we still have the showdown of the weekend with Nova and the Hall tomorrow.

Cintas always has a Big East highlights segment. First media timeout tonight had the johnnies up there on the big scoreboard. . The crowd just went bonkers cheering this epic upset. Gtown cincinnati alumni club well represented as well serenading us with a "lets go Hoyas" during a late time out in the second half. What an awesome day of college hoops.

Hat's off to the Hoyas for that performance.

Ed Cooley hearing St. John’s beat Duke: “Is that right? Go Big East. That made my day, honest to God.”

Saw on Twitter that Big East schools are a perfect 6-0 in non-conference games at MSG this year. It's not only SJU's home court, it's our league's home court and we protected it with authority. Way to go Big East!

I'm still not convinced we impressed them all, but I'm also very confident what we did today sure as heck doesn't hurt our chances.

Here's the list of recruits who attended today's game:

Scottie Lewis
Bryan Antoine
Karim Coulibaly
Kofi Cockburn

2020
Elijah Wood
