IMO that SHU-PC line is way too big. It may be close to accurate for a SHU home game with both teams playing their best (or just at the same level), but right now Providence is in its best form of the season (willing to overlook @ Nova, that happens to a lot of teams) while SHU has been slumping. Hopefully the last game got the Pirates back on track, but it's gonna take more than a win over DePaul to convince me. I think a more fair line would be SHU -2 or -3 and I'm unfortunately not confident enough in how they're playing right now to even place a bet on that. Hopefully they prove me wrong and show they really are back on track.

How's this work...the winners of tonite's games are fine and still in the hunt? The losers not so much?

...in the hunt for the conference title or at least 2nd-4th place.

All of those teams are in good shape, and will be, regardless of tonight's outcomes. A loss will put Marquette 2 games under .500 in the league, but they are finished with Nova, and Xavier, and have 4 games left against the bottom 3. 5 of the last 8 are on the road though, so you want to take care of business tonight at home, so as not to even expose yourself to a potential disaster scenario.

I'd already rule both Marquette and Butler out of the title race. I guess you could call the 3 loss teams still in it for now, but they're all major long shots already being 2 games behind Nova in the loss column. As for 2-4, the winners are obviously in better shape, but it's way too early to rule any of these teams out of a top 4 finish.

Well the Pirates proved me wrong. This team is so much more dangerous when Carrington's hitting shots. Hopefully he keeps it going on Sunday because they're gonna need it.

Lindsey and Cartwright with 0 points tonight. Missed open shots and turnovers killed the friars. Will not happen when the rematch happens back at the Dunk. Just a poor game by the friars with the exception of Diallo with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Just when you think they are turning the corner they shoot themselves in the foot.
