Lindsey is often looked at a stand and shoot three point man, but what gets overlooked is what a good man defender he is. He always gets the other team's best scorer (assuming its not a PG or a 5). He locked Martin down today. He fronted him in the post, and chested up to him outside the lane.
In the last three games he played Strauss from DePaul, Martin today and Bluiett last weekend and held them all below their averages. Rowsey as well. (Although Howard smoked us in that game we lost to Marquette).
We finally did some good work on the defensive boards (helped out by some bad Butler shooting), which has been a weakness for us all season, and of course, Cartwright can just be unstoppable when he has that look. The Nova-PC games, Brunson vs Cartwright should be a blast.
