if you had to choose a school tomorrow to join the BE next year, which would you choose. They would come exactly as they are today, meaning UConn would still have FB dreams, Gonzaga would still be an island far away from even Omaha. This school could grow/improve but there is no guarantee it would consistently be better than it is now.

Saint Louis - opens up a good recruiting area, decent enough of tradition, nice arena, institutional fit, bridges geography to Omaha, no NBA team to compete against, has proven it can be a better program than it currently is.

If that doesn't work for you, UConn.

Unrealistic - Notre Dame

1. UConn. Regardless of football woes. UConn's basketball cache is still very valuable and they have longstanding rivalries with half the schools in the Big East.

2. Dayton. They have shown they are committed to high-level hoops, their fanbase travels very well and they would provide instant rivalry games for Xavier, Butler and Marquette.

1. The Bulls
2. Kankakee High School in Kankakee Illinois.

Both are exactly as likely to be added to the Big East as any team in this thread.

You realize that talks between the Big East and UConn have been reported by legitimate sources multiple times right?

Do you really agree with the unlined portion? I know that many folks in the Northeast feel that way, but the rest of he country does not.

"Riding on 'The City of New Orleans'
Illinois Central, Monday mornin' rail
15 cars and 15 restless riders
3 conductors, 25 sacks of mail

All along the south bound Odyssey
Train pulls out of Kankakee
Rolls along past houses, farms, and fields
Passing trains that have no names,
Freight yards full of old black men
And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles . . ."

Nonsense. They're a sleeping giant. Give them one big season and it will be "4-time national champion UConn" again.
