There's only one entity being hurt by Georgetown's schedule and that's Georgetown. The rest of the conference will reap its benefits.

If you understand the math, it's far better for everyone else in the BE to have them to go 10-1 versus the Keystone Kops than it is for them to go 6-6 versus a mediocre one.

Yup, and rightfully so.

You have won 1 tournament game since the start of the century. You should probably worry about getting your own back yard in order first. Losers are always the most vocal in judgement.

Georgetown has 11 in that timeframe.

LOL.

It kills everyone else’s SOS even playing the Hoyas. And God help us if one of the Top 8 loses to the Hoyas.

Consider this, since the Hoyas have an RPI of 192 and the worst SOS, in terms of RPI, it would be better for the other nine to play and lose to 4-6 Colgate, 2-8 E. Washington or 2-8 UMKC than play and lose to undefeated Georgetown.

That's completely wrong.

Schedule strength is calculated by the rank of the sum of the records the 31 teams that you play accrue. That's it. Georgetown being 10-1 instead of 6-5 is a boom to every other team in the conference.

What you are thinking of is the conference's non-con schedule strength, which is absolutely negatively affected by such a schedule. However, with some teams like Nova and X playing great ones, it doesn't hurt us too much as we are still projected as the 6th best effort.

Lastly, the Hoyas would have a terrible RPI even with a better schedule, when you factor in the significantly worse record.

And your last paragraph is nonsense. Georgetown's RPI has a very high floor to it, based on the competition that they will be playing in conference, whereas those other teams RPI will crash due to their crap conferences.

Georgetowns projected RPI is 161. UMKC's is projected at 221, Eastern Washington 196, Colgate 201.

Oh and if it's about the past we're top ten all time wins. No one cares about the past, Georgetown is a dumpster fire today.

wrong... Just watch Syracuse today.....

Warren Nolan has something called Impact games.... they have it where games are set based on points what RPI does....

For Syracuse today vs Georgetown if they win it's plus 202. If they lose it's only -57.
compare that to say Seton Hall playing 8-3 Rutgers today. If they win it's +51. If they lose, it's -149.
or Xavier playing 5-3 E Tennessee St. If they win, it's only +31. If they lose, it's -331.

The biggest part of the RPI is your opponents record. It's 50% of the RPI.

Oh, and if Georgetown wins today, they get 364 points. Or would get up to around 135.
