St John's should press and run from the opening tip, seeing how UCF stumbled vs West Virginia so badly in their 97-12 loss.
How funny is it that Butler can get payback vs Holtmann? When has a scenario like this ever happened so quickly? Parcells to the Jets vs New England? Ed Cooley did play Fairfield early in his first year at Providence, but the circumstances were completely different.
DePaul has been playing some great hoops and really deserves a W. They've looked good and could run the table once they get by Terry Porter's Pilots. Their losses are all good, against Notre Dame (4 pts down at half) Michigan State (tied at half), and Oregon State (OT loss). Max Strus has a reputation as a sharpshooter so if he can get hot DePaul can get rolling.
Huge games for St John's and Butler if they want to go dancing.
St John's already has the Duke game coming which will be really tough. UCF is shorthanded I think. Kind of game you have to win to go dancing.
For Butler it's even more important. Got the 2 losses already and games up with Utah and Purdue left. more than 3 OOC losses makes your margin of error in conference play much lower, especially considering how tough the conference will be.
For DePaul- they've had the #41 SOS so far in the country- and that's with playing 0-4 Delaware State. After this, only Northwestern really left.
