Three games in the Big East on Saturday, i think.

Saturday Nov 18th 2017:
Maryland Eastern Shore at Georgetown, 12pm.
Furman at Butler, 2pm.
NJIT at #22 Seton Hall, 4pm.

Nice entertaining group of games.
Anyone else here smell 3-0?

Haha!

Already, likely undermanned when they released the schedule, but UMES has four starters out today against the Hoyas.

Maryland beat this UMES team by 53 points. They are officially bad. The Hoyas are up 33-8 early in the first half.

Got up big early, but then really let the foot off the gas and played our worst game of the season. You could really see how far we have to go to be a competitive team.
I just hope it was lack of effort/focus, because despite the 26 point win we did not play well. Sloppy, and poor defense.

On the bright side Govan recorded his 3rd straight 20+ points and 10+ rebound game. He only had one such game in his first 2 years.

UMES, as I stated above, was also severely undermanned being four of their starters didn't even suit up.

Seton Hall wins easily, but no double double for Angel Delgado who, after a poor first half, was glued to the bench for nearly all of the second half.

I've been impressed by Ewing so far. I know the schedule's a joke, but the team is playing well, not down to the competition. Govan and Derrickson give them reliable scoring and the guards have been OK so far (averaging 22 assists a game). I

That's huge by itself. Establishing focus and a disciplined culture. I never noticed that with JT III's regime.

It's nice to watch a fun brand of basketball vs. the passive offense that seems to have been figured out by everyone. Hard to tell from only three games, and against this type of competition, but seems like a nice core that is taking to the teaching.

This will probably invites some snark from the Creighton crowd, but Akoy Agau would have been a nice piece for the Hoyas this year had he not decided to transfer.
