Seth Davis put Creighton at #19 on his ballot so it looks like we will get more votes. AP voters are lazy though so I doubt we make it this week.

Saw Jon Rothstein has Creighton at #27 so just out of the top 25.

and you look at it- Creighton may be a week away.... consider this week-
Texas Tech plays Seton Hall
Baylor plays Xavier

the losers of those 2 games may get bumped for Creighton next week. esp. the Texas Tech/Seton Hall game.
the loser of the Baylor/Xavier game has a major test next weekend-
Xavier vs Cincy
Baylor vs Wichita
so they might be able to go 1-1 and still be in.

I'll write more in depth later in the week, but will be tough because all the Big East Top 25 are facing ranked teams (aside from Nova who can afford a couple losses anyways). Also a good way for the 4 teams (including Seton Hall) to solidify their OOC resumes.

Could realistically have anywhere from 1-4 ranked teams next week.

With the week nearly over, it's looking like we'll have 3 ranked teams. 2-4 is still possible, but I'd say 3.

More importantly, the currently ranked teams/SHU should improve this week (aside from Creighton).

#4 Nova: Won Vs Penn & @ St. Joe's. Should stay at #4 barring a massive MSU upset.
#21 Xavier: Won Vs #16 Baylor & #11 Cincinnati. Amazing week. Tough to know how much they'll improve, but have to think mid teens at least.
#25 Creighton: Lost @ #15 Gonzaga. Most likely will drop from the rankings.

#26 Seton Hall: Won Vs #22 Texas Tech. Game tomorrow @ #17 Louisville. Think they'll most likely be ranked even if they lose tomorrow.
#35 Providence: Won't be ranked

So far we have two elite teams in Nova and Xavier. Seton Hall has a chance tomorrow to join that conversation.

Also, SJU plug here... but if we somehow win our two games out West next week (@ Grand Canyon & #20 Arizona State). We MAY be ranked. We'd be 9-1 with wins over #20 Arizona State (probably higher when the polls out Monday), Nebraska, Oregon State, UCF. Only loss to Missouri. Not an amazing resume, but definitely should at least gets some votes. In terms of RPI at least we'd definitely be Top 25 since right now we're #33.

Incoming Stever rebuttal...

I agree Top 20 is more likely, with Xavier likely Top 15. But with SHU's resume, they SHOULD be in the Top 15.
