That will be very hard to do if our defense/rebounding/paint scoring remain glaring weaknesses. We have been atrocious in the early season tournaments in the past 5 years or so and always seem to go 1 and out. Just to see us finally win one of these mini tournaments would be unreal. I know many people say rankings don't matter much but I totally disagree. If you want to be a national brand and you want to be recognized by ESPN and the college hoops world as being truly relevant, you have to be able to crack the top 25 and remain there for at least an extended period. Some may disagree with that standard, but it's just how it goes. I remember when SJ was up to #15 just 3 years ago...such a rush just seeing our program there...so refreshing. Unfortunately we stayed maybe 2 weeks and that was it. If you want the fans to come out and want to be a national program, you have to be in the exclusive club.

Do you have to go into the same spiel in every thread? The person made a thread about Big East schools being ranked and what other potential teams would have to do to get inside of the polls. But, here you come along with the same tired rant.
Leave your constant "woe is me" stuff when it's truly warranted. Today isn't the day and nor is this thread.

I could find the cure to cancer and you'd take issue. I'm not here for some random dude's approval on a message board, especially one who always seems one step away from court-mandated anger management. The thread was about what needs to happen to get in the top 25 for each respective school. I'm a St. John's fan.
