Now 2-2 in Tier 1 games. They have 10 more to go the rest of the regular season if they want to prove themselves. They are 3-0 against Tier 2 opponents, by the way.

This is not for the purpose of thumping my Nova chest, but more of a reflection on the league...

Nova has now been ranked #1 for 15 weeks over the last 3 seasons. This is DOUBLE the next highest count. It is more than Duke and Kansas combined (7 each)... In the FWIW category.

Awesome to see 4 teams in the Top 25. Congrats Blue Jays.. Seton Hall is #13 with a bullet and X stayed in the Top 10. Good times.

Including being ranked #1 in THE most important poll in 2016...

Nothing has helped keep the Big East in the national conversation more than Nova's success in that time frame.

Love this conference too...I was a kid during the "Old BE" ewing/Pearl/Mullins , at SHU in the early 90's during great years, and a fan during those expansion years when football schools had the majority vote and 4-5 BE schools didn't care about bball. But this BE is every bit as fun as it was in those golden years. Couldn't be any happier having Creighton, X and Butler.

I don't really care about the #1 spot other than the good publicity for the program and the conference. But here's something that's more impressive to me: Nova has been ranked top 10 for 39 straight polls and counting. It is the longest active streak and Duke is 2nd at only 11 straight weeks. In case anyone's wondering, Nova's top 25 streak is at 83, trailing only Kansas.
