Oh I don't know.

Baylor vs TT. Tenn vs Ark. FL St vs Duke. Either Baylor or TT falls, poss out.
Fl st. Falls out. Poss Tennessee falls out. There is a possibility that the Hall stays ranked after the loss.

SURELY you're not holding out hope that slow footed, slow starting SH may find a way to win, against Creighton? Oh lordy, lordy...You are suffering from delusions.
Fortunately we have medications for your delusions - Thorazine.

But you labor on until the 28th Hall2012, and I hope you're "in the house" when the Jays beat your boys. lol

You're probably right, but it won't be the three you think. SH bounces the Jays out, but after beating both PC and SH, it's the Johnnies that sneak in as the third team at No. 25.

Well I guess dreaming is part of being a fan, right?

Even if the games in question do play out as you hope (it's a long shot, but I guess SHU could no-show again like they did at Rutgers), there's still no chance it gets the Johnnies ranked. By all means, it should finally get them some votes - but wins over Providence and Seton Hall wouldn't be nearly impressive enough to jump SJU from 0 votes to top 25.

For your argument, let's say SJU beats Providence and wins @ SHU. There's really 2 aspects here:

1. Should they be ranked? The answer is absolutely yes. Right now their RPI is #18 with a #30 SOS, and those would only improve. They'd be 12-2 with losses to #4 (RPI) ASU and #16 (RPI) Missouri.
2. Will they be ranked? Much tougher to answer, but I'd lean towards yes. The main reason SJU isn't receiving votes is because their wins aren't flashy. Let's say if you take their wins vs #70 UCF and #81 Nebraska and you swapped them with wins vs #73 Notre Dame and #79 Cincy. They'd be ranked today purely based on expectations and name recognition.

So, voters would take notice of the wins @ ranked SHU and vs Providence, look at SJU's resume, and probably rank them. That said, the AP poll is obviously prone to human error so it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't get ranked. I'd say 65% odds of getting ranked.

Sadly I highly doubt SJU wins both games, but if we beat Providence tonight that makes Sunday a lot more interesting.
