Talking about challenges. Not sure if this has been mentioned before. Is there a reason why the Big East doesn't explore a Challenge with the Pac-12?

Would it be beneficial for the conference? Is it worth the cross-country travel? Who would benefit more, PAC-12 or Big East?

I know we already have the Tipoff games with the Big Ten. But it wouldn't hurt to have a P12 challenge sometime in December?!?!

I thought I read that we did explore it but UCLA and maybe someone else big like Arizona refused to participate- and without them it serves us no benefit. It's entirely possible that was all speculation though.

This. UCLA and Arizona supposedly wanted no part of it.

Jamie Dixon has done a great job turning around TCU basketball. The four years prior to his arrival, the team's conference record was 8-64 in the Big 12. The Horned Frogs won 6 conference games last year under Dixon and are ranked this year. Meanwhile, his former program (Pitt) is currently ranked 14th out of 15 teams in the ACC.

I was just about to post that. The ACC has won 11 games while the Big Ten has only won 2 games. Notre Dame at MSU tomorrow.

Disappointing to see from the B1G. The ACC is now unsurprisingly ahead of the BE in RPI. B1G is in AAC territory now, and AAC actually has a chance to finish ahead.

Imagine if this happened to us? If we played meh for half the OOC, and then lost 11-2 or whatever to the ACC or any other conference??? I can just imagine the articles.

I'm rooting for them (as a far distant second behind the BE, obviously), but really pathetic.

The problem for them with conference play this weekend, their OOC schedule is already 57.4% complete. Compare that to the Big East which is only 51.6% complete, or AAC which is 50.7% complete.

Yeah, not a great year for either the Big Ten or the A10 for that matter(43-44 with 51.5% complete).

I'll say this- if the AAC can't take advantage of this year, I don't know that it ever will. It's set up you would have to admit perfectly for them. Especially when you consider Pac 12 is down as well.

Notre Dame lost at home to Ball State 80-77

Wichita State down by 8 to South Dakota State in the 2nd half, but still plenty of time left.
