maybe one of the most inexplicable losses I've seen with the margin in a long time. This would be much worse than Xavier losing on Saturday to DePaul by 30 points. Going into the game, St Joe's RPI was 189, URI's RPI was 8. Right now- DePaul is 177 and Xavier is 2.

Makes you wonder with Rhode Island, if they lose on Friday @ Davidson and then again early in the conference tourney, is there any chance they miss the NCAA? Just using the 4 components that we can see easily- RPI, SOR, BPI and Ken Pom- their average of the 6 metrics dropped last night from 22.83 to 30.33. It will get worse than that when we see the other 2.

Ridiculous, it was before I was born. They've had some good squads in a pretty good conference over the years.

I was surprised to see that also, but how many chances at road wins over ranked teams have they had playing in the A10?

I would think more than you would think. I mean just recent years they've had a good at least 2-3 teams ranked each year.

Well they got a shot at a ranked opponent on the road every other year in the Big 5. Of course over the last 5 years the average margin of victory for the Cats has been 28.4 pts (not a typo). Imagine losing to your "rival" by an average of 28.4 pts. over a 5 year period. Ouch.

Game was at URI.

Read that it's St Joe's first road win vs a ranked opponent since 1979, which sounds impossible.

It was the 2nd largest home loss by a ranked team to an unranked opponent in AP poll history.

Should be fun tomorrow at work around the water cooler. This was a way worse performance than DePaul at PC earliervthus month.

Ok so Nova won @ St Joe’s by 41 pts, and St Joe’s won at URI by 30 pts. So naturally I’m guessing a possible spread between Nova and URI to be (-71). Then again URI beat PC by 7 and PC beat us by 5 so...

Either way St Joe’s is not good. If that was senior night, yikes.

And St. John's beat St. Joe's so URI losing to them is pretty awful! :D

I'd like to see what the exact record was @ ranked opponents prior to last night. But I do remember Umass and Temple being good in most years, and Xavier too. Maybe Pitt and WVU were still there when Saint Joe's joined?

So apparently there is a major tournament being played at the Garden this week. LOL.

What an embarassing day I for the B1G tournament @ MSG
Stony Brook Red, Connecticut Blue, and Big East basketball!

Didn't St. Joes have an undefeated season here 15 odd years ago with Jameer Nelson. I would imagine they would have beaten some ranked team during that season.

St Joe's beat some ranked teams, but not on the road. I know they crushed the Cats one year while Nelson was there, but Villanova wasn't very good then, so I know they weren't ranked.
