really don't think it's a huge deal. thought a good idea 1st year but then after that- really no need for it. And kind of thinking about it with MLK day- do think it kind of hurts in mid January being dark from that Tuesday-Friday with no games.

As a Nova fan the 5 games I am most excited about:

@ Butler (Hinkle payback)
@ X (two top dogs of the conf)
@ SJU (MSG; will prob be there in person)
vs. SHU (always a street fight; Delgado and Spellman)
@CU & @TheDunk (tie--enjoy both fan bases enthusiasm in those two away games)

Just great games all around. Can't wait.
Go Nova!

While I get the disappointment, I think it could be very beneficial to the Johnnies' record. Although it obviously doesn't compare in terms of capacity, the more intimate setting on campus gives them a much better home court advantage than MSG does. I could easily see it getting them an extra win or two that they may not have gotten at MSG which could be the difference in their postseason fate.

Agreed on the home court advantage factor......games at Carnesecca are always more energetic and hopefully that will lead to an extra win or two......less games at MSG this year due to the Grammys and Big Ten tourney.....they had to put the georgetown game at msg due to the mullin vs. ewing factor.....must see tv!!!

So we've got Seton Hall @ Villanova - Wells Fargo Center on Big Fox on...Super Bowl Sunday.

I'm kind of in between on how I feel about this game.

It could be a huge TV showcase for the league, with a packed house and drawing a ton of viewers before the Super Bowl starts.

On the other hand, it could show the league in a less than favorable light if competition with the Super Bowl makes drawing a crowd difficult.

And on the flip side of drawing a bunch of viewers, everyone could also choose football pregame instead.

1 thing that's good is the NBA game that's airing on SB Sunday is Lakers @ Oklahoma City- but it starts at 2pm so no conflict there....

Will have some competition from CBS at 1pm as Wisconsin is at Maryland that day.

interesting day for sure.

Now that I've seen the schedule, I'm thinking 16-2, maybe 17-1 for DePaul.
