Saint Louis’ Travis Ford has been out-recruiting both Dayton and VCU. The Billikens’ immediate future looks very bright, but the 47-year-old Ford played basketball for Kentucky, and was head coach at Oklahoma State for 8 seasons. Ford has no previous ties to Saint Louis, and may be eyeing a return to big-time basketball if he is successful in rebuilding the Billikens into an A10 contender.

ST. LOUIS • Staff and administrators at St. Louis University are expected to find out Tuesday whether they are among the roughly 4 percent who will lose their jobs. That 4 percent represents about 120 employees, according to a campus-wide email from SLU President Fred Pestello on Friday. The impending layoffs have been a much-discussed issue on campus for months as school leaders addressed an ongoing budget crisis.

SLU faces a $16 million budget deficit from this past fiscal year after a decline in enrollment and an uptick in expenses. The trend is projected to continue unless cuts are made, according to university leaders.

Oh, I don't know...I see all of that FF posted on the "religious affiliations" thread and it makes me think, "Jesus, Mary and Joseph, bless that poor, lonely bastard's heart because he clearly has no friends." So in that vein, on topic or no?

How are all of these posts on Dayton and St. Louis relevant to Big East basketball? Shouldn't this drivel be on the Off Topic Board? It's easy to see why this guy has been banned on both the Dayton and A10 boards.

What do St. Louis and Dayton both have in common? Both recently hired P5 coaching rejects.

On Page 2 of the thread, you can read posts about The Dominicans' and Jesuits' roles in the Spanish Inquisition, Tomás de Torquemada, Drawing and Quartering, Guy Fawkes, great Bourbon, Papal Suppression of the Jesuit Order, and Braveheart - none of which drew any objections.

But the trophy for the Most Off-Topic Post on the thread to date goes to this post, which isn't even correct:
