Mussini gone

Postby stever20 » Tue Jun 06, 2017 11:03 am

Just saw this:
Federico Mussini is going back to Italy to play professionally per source

guy who definitely didn't live up to hopes. But now, probably addition by subtraction I would think, right?

I'm sorry to see him go. Although he was limited with his lack of foot speed, he was always a good teammate that gave his all. He was overmatched when he was asked to play point guard two years ago, but did his best, and I think all Johnnie fans appreciated his effort. He would have been the fourth guard this year after Ponds, Lovett and Simon, but would have had a role, especially against a zone. Anyway, I hope he has a a good career in Europe, and wish him the best.

He gave them depth. Came up big in the upset of Syracuse a couple of years ago.

I'm also really bummed to see him go but wish him the best. Really liked his energy and was, by all accounts, a great teammate. He was also a great student. Hope he makes a bundle in the Italian league.
