Lots of rumors from reliable people that Brooks is going to decommit from SJ. With this program it's always one step forward then two back. Can't ever have good news only for too long. Absolutely massive blow if true. But not like we aren't used to this at this point...it feels like we never get 4 star HS kids anymore...just transfers.

LOL His "woe is me" and entitlement always rear its head.

Nevertheless, the staff is flying out to the Great Northwest to see whether they can salvage Brooks' commitment. We'll see what happens, as it can't hurt. Not to mention, the team's rejuvenated play could also help our cause.

Ok sorry, a 4 star big with a very good skillset leaving us is a good thing. It won’t affect us at all. Better guys?

Who said or even intimated it was a good thing losing such a player? No one! Your reactionary personality and anxieties said it. I continue to surmise you think it's all good on your end, but everybody else has the issues. You don't get it, and I'm not sure you'll ever get it.

Just went to Redmen.com where this rumor started. Want to know what the "inside info" is that Hooper mentions? The kid didn't send a congrats tweet after the Nova win. THATS IT! Oh and one guy just sent out a single message on the thread about this kids recruitment. "Shaky". Thats all it takes to send the nut job SJU fans into a frenzy.

Paultzman on Redmen is a reliable source tbh. I'm expecting him to decommit any day now.

Hooper did overreact, but still this does suck. Hopefully staff can keep him on board.

I can confirm Paultzman's information on Brooks' recruitment. This isn't some rumor pulled out of left field. This "rumor" definitely has legs to it.

By the way, Mayhem/Hooper, leave the recruits' alone. The kid hasn't even decommitted, and you're tweeting at him. It may have been done in good gesture, but still don't tweet based on an unconfirmed rumor. Please, don't respond feigning the victim.
