Wow...woke up to see if there was any SJ news and bam 4 star Brooks commits! For the other fans, this was not seen as very likely especially this soon if at all. Big surprise! Huge get for next year and reports say he has lots of skill in paint including a jump hook. We never have those players so this is amazing. Consensus 4* top 75 6'9 225 lb. If somehow Ponds and LoVett stay one more year, we may be a top 25 team in preseason if we make tourney this year.

Amazing to see 6 of our 10 schools ranked in the top 50 and 9 out of 10 in the top 100.....looks like we may sustain our success for awhile!!

2018 Top 50 recruiting classes by conference:

Pac12 - 9/12 - 75%
B1G - 10/15 = 67%
ACC - 9/15 = 60%
BE - 6/10 = 60%
B12 - 5/10 - 50%
SEC - 7/15 = 47%

Others -
AAC 2
Ivy - 1
A10 - 1

Yet, another example that there is a huge gap between the top 6 conferences and the rest. The top players for the most part recognize which conferences and programs are the desirable ones to play in/for.

When you factor in the one-and-dones--who the BE does not really attract--you've gotta love the recruiting that the BE has pulled in since inception. They get 3 and 4 year Top 100 players that become stars by the time they are juniors and seniors. Guys like Hart, Blueitt, Delgado, Brunson, Thomas, Rodriguez, Govan, Cartwright, etc., stick around until they are seasoned vets and grown men and help us build our programs around veteran leadership. That's how you compete against teams who can pick and choose among the top 20 who are looking to bolt after one year.

Creighton got a commit from Aussie 6'11 PF Sam Froling last night. 4 star on Rivals and 247, #81 on 247 and #131 on the composite. Had offers from Arizona, Maryland and Wichita State. Nice get for a position of need with Suarez and Hegner graduating. Brother of Marquette center Harry Froling.

I was wondering if there was a connection there - excellent get - Jays are really rolling lately in recruiting.
