Dude, you must be an absolute blast at parties.

Which is still 5 more than the AAC, for those counting at home.

Big East has 6 recruits in the top 63, 50% more than any other year since the new league formed. There are 128 recruits at 4/5*, with one Big East recruit at #123. Oh, and those top 63 figures for prior years are the FINAL numbers vs the still in progress 2018 number.

Now while it is true that we have stuck to the 4/5* 247 composite rankings (and still are in this above post, just outlining how top heavy the class is), Stever has spent the past 4/5 years applying a million different filters to make the Big East look bad. Something tells me Stever knew how great the top 6/7 of the class is, but his sole purpose is to troll so he didn't mention this.

Seriously Stever, you are a joke. Misleading posts by you should be banned. Yes 7 total 4/5* recruits may be down from the same time last year, but you intentionally omitted important information.

Another clear point is that the BE picked up 2 4* top 100 players in one night. A real fan of the BE would have noted how great that was, not the BS Stever/Crawfish posted. This from a supposed Georgetown fan, one of the teams with a 4* pickup. Stever is a joke!

2018 is looking down though. Xavier has missed on all their top targets and so has Villanova. The only school really over-achieving for 2018 is Providence.

Yeah The Nova whiffed big time. Only pulled in a top 40 kid in Swider and a Top 75 kid in Slater.

Um, what are you talking about. The 2014 class(that you love to forget in all of these discussions for some reason) had 5 recruits in the top 63, plus 65 and 68. Oh, and right now, the Big East has 5 recruits in the top 63. 34 Hauser Marquette 43 Swider Nova 48 Duke PC 49 Reeves PC 55 Slater Nova. Campbell is gone from DePaul.....

I think like DuneAnon said, this class is looking down compared to other years. Anyone objectively looking at it would say that.

I don't follow your recruiting that much, but 40 and 75 seems a little underwhelming for a program 1 year removed from a National Championship.

Thanks for your concern. But honestly if JW can bring in 2 quality players every year, I’m happy. There’s only one ball and there is already loads of talent on the team (with no seniors). So what’s the point in bringing in a class of 4 or 5 kids if they are not going to play? Either way I wouldn’t characterize a recruiting cycle with 2 Top 75 kids as “missing their target.” Maybe we need to expect more as VU fans so we can compete better in the league. :D
