Great night for BE 2018 recruiting. Two 4*. I'm sure that Crawfish and/or Stever will be on shortly to offer congratulations, as always!!

SF Josh Leblanc ranked #73 in 247 composite was the Hoya commit. Along with Pickett, Ewing starting to show he can recruit.

I think it's safe to say the BE is back, going on 5 years now and the current players the teams are recruiting were 9, 10, 11, when the league formed. They don't remember the Old BE at all. They simply know the BE is one of the Top BB conferences in all the land.

Mac McClung '18 Combo Guard former Rutgers Commit has now committed to Georgetown.

2 commits from one midnight madness. Not too shabby.

Great point and perspective.

I'm shocked, just shocked, that neither has weighed in. They are always so quick to discuss recruiting developments in the Beast.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.

well even after the pickups, the Big East still has only 7 4 star players this class according to 247 composite this cycle. That's down pretty big from last year at this time.

Facts are; now five years in Dave Gavitt’s vision is just as strong today as it was 35 years ago. I’m very excited to see what the next 5 years hold.

This alone lets you see the strength of the conference. Were doing just fine.

last year at this time, the league had over 10 4 star players.

Also, where the league is struggling- is compared to the other p5 conferences....
ACC 5 5 stars, 12 4 stars, 17 total
B12 1 5 star, 12 4 stars, 13 total
B10 1 5 star, 22 4 stars, 23 total
P12 2 5 stars, 12 4 stars, 14 total
SEC 3 5 stars, 9 4 stars, 12 total

So to only have 7 so far is not good. Oh, and Duke and Kentucky have 3 combined. And there are only 43 4/5 star guys left, with 22 of those being in the top 60. 15 left are in the top 30. Just looking at it from a numbers perspective, it's not good. Especially given what the other p5 conferences are doing.
