St. Louis was always a tough place to play when X was in the A10. They had some good players back then too, but I don't miss that game. I believe Travis Ford has some pretty decent recruits coming in so they could be an alright team the next few years (if he can coach them).

After digesting the news a little, I don't think it's a bad decision. It's an "okay" home and home arrangement.

A lot of our fans have suggested it's for recruiting. There is a lot of talent coming out of the area lately, but no strong programs. Mizzou and SLU are bad, Illinois is struggling and Lawrence and Louisville are both 4+ hours away. It could be a good opportunity for Butler to grab a recruit from the area.

We'll see. It is pretty dissapointing when we've recently arranged home and homes with Tennessee, Cincinnati and Utah. Definitely a step down, but I'm sure there is a reason for it.

EDIT: I'm with you though. The '12-'13 team they had was so freakin' good. They just waxed us in the three games we had against them, and we had a pretty good team that year (#6 seed - lost to Marquette  ).

St. Louis will be markedly improved next season. If you believe in rankings, ESPN rates their incoming class at #32, three under Butler's. They also have 4 transfers eligible. The season after, if the verbal holds, they have a 5* coming in.

For the record it's Saint Louis not St. Louis. Not named after the city. While St. John's is not Saint John's. I know i know but thats how the schools market themselves and how they want to be called.

It makes perfect sense, since Saint Louis is a future Big East school...

Is that for certain?

Yes it is. After getting bitch slapped by 33 in the Dome last year they've waved the white flag and said "no mas" at least for next season.

Syracuse fans are like Roberto Durant saying "NO MAS, NO MAS" when catching a beating. They want no part of us.

I love it! They are such wusses. They say we are an RPI dreg but can't beat us, they say they are sick of hearing 50 times in March how they lost to us. Well I guess you should quit playing us because we are better than you Cuse.
