We'd previously heard that SHU would be playing Temple (who Rothstein reports is playing South Carolina). So if true...I guess that's a slight upgrade? Maybe? Upgrade in terms of conference, but they seem pretty similar in terms of talent.

Temple should be better than Texas Tech. Josh Brown returns this year as a 5th year senior(medical redshirt last year). Looking at Texas Tech, it's a great matchup for Seton Hall- as Texas Tech lost 3 of their top 4 big guys to graduation. Temple would have been a much more difficult matchup I think.

Creighton just dropped their non conference schedule this morning...
November 3 - UNC Pembroke (Exhibition)
November 10 - Yale
November 12 - Alcorn State
November 15 - @Northwestern
November 20 - CBE Classic (Baylor, UCLA, Wisconsin)
November 21 - CBE Classic (Baylor, UCLA, Wisconsin)
November 25 - SIU-Edwardsville
December 1 - @Gonzaga
December 5 - North Dakota
December 9 - Nebraska
December 15 - Maryland Eastern Shore
December 18 - UT-Arlington
December 20 - USC Upstate

Lot of good road/neutral games but the home slate leaves a lot to be desired...

Bit surprised that Creighton didn't start the home and home with Gonzaga at home this year, given the schedule. Next year could be really good, if they get to host a Gavitt game along with Gonzaga(Creighton should be out of the Gavitt games in 1 of the next 2 years as they've not missed yet).

Still one game left to announce - probably going to be a DII warm body in January like last year, but until I hear a name I'm going to hold out hope for a home game against an opponent of substance.

Only you could find fault in Creighton starting a home/home with Gonzaga. Why don't you call Few and McD and let them know they scheduled wrong.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

I'm not saying the home and home with Gonzaga isn't great, I'm saying that I'm a bit surprised in the order that they did it in, given the schedule that Creighton has next year. I would as a fan rather have a great OOC game in each year over having 0 in 1 year and 2 in the other year.

But there's no guarantee Creighton will get another great game next year. For all we know, they may not get a home Gavitt Game next year. Or worse yet, they could get stuck hosting Rutgers.

Understand that, but I'd rather have it where you have a great game this year for sure- with a year left to get a good home game for the 18-19 season if no Gavitt game materializes- vs having no good home games for sure this year and then maybe only 1 for the next season(if they don't get a Gavitt game).

Looks like an 11-1 nonconf schedule. Loss at Gonzaga. Coaches really gonna have to work it to get the Team ready for conf play.
