21. Marquette
27. St. Johns
49. DePaul
53. Xavier
57. Providence
67. Butler
72. Seton Hall

I'm assuming most of the other P6 conferences also are fully represented

Actually, only the Big East, ACC, and SEC are fully represented. And those other 2 are by the skin of their teeth, with Virginia Tech at #99 and Ole Miss tied for #100.

The B1G is missing:
Rutgers
Nebraska
Northwestern
Penn State

Big XII is missing:
TCU

Pac-12 is missing:
Colorado
Washington State
Seton Hall Pirates
Big East Tournament Champions: 1991, 1993, 2016
Big East Regular Season Champions: 1992, 1993, 2020

Marquette writeup says that in the 70's they were ranked in all polls except one, so 99.4% of the time.

St. Johns should be much higher. But that's what mediocrity for the better part of 2 decades will do to a great legacy

This commment is idiotic. Literally any team could say "we should be much higher but for that mediocre period". St Johns is where they are and that's where they should be because that's what happened.

What penalizes St John's is the fact that they ignored the first 11 years of national competition, a decade in which BE schools like St John's and DePaul excelled.

This is clearly a publicity stunt by the AP to try to get more attention at a time when people don't pay much attention to the AP poll any more. To ignore more than a decade of the early years of national competition is absurd when declaring an "ALL TIME" Top 100. To compound the error, they then ignore the postseason results. For them, it's as though those games were never played. Utterly ridiculous.

Not true. The AP did a flawed analysis. St John's would be higher if they did a proper job.

But it's not the "All Time Top 100" as in top 100 programs of all time. It's the "AP All Time Top 100" as in top performers in the history of the AP Poll. I agree, it could have been done better - for instance each appearance in the poll should be weighted based on the rank. As is, extra points are only given for #1, meaning #2 = #25.

It's certainly not perfect, but judge it for what it is, not something it isn't.

If they tried to pass it off as having merit before they started ranking I would agree but they aren't. They say when it started and that this ranked those 68yrs. They aren't retroactively making rankings or claiming that these 68yrs has any baring over those years prior to their start.

Because it is just an analysis of just the AP poll over the length of time it has been around it cannot be flawed.

They're claiming "all time".
