This is where Nova misses Spellman on a team that will hurt you inside the paint.

Who can disagree at this point?

It should've been intentional. Regardless, Villanova had a couple players who didn't show up ttoday. That, IMO, is why they're going home.

I agree it's not why they lost, the same way the call yesterday isn't why Seton Hall lost. They both played really poor games and paid the price. But both had a big impact on the moment, being 1 point games in the final minute.

I'm extremely wary about taking tournament games and measuring a conference. I also won't use one or even two seasons, as a measuring stick.

I will say, I don't believe the conference is overrated, but I wasn't too impressed with the conference this season. Honestly, I'm not surprised what's occurring in the tournament when it comes to our conference.

I think this was the difference in the game. Wisconsin was able to get relatively easy looks in the paint throughout the game. Nova managed to get a lay up here and there, but otherwise, Wisconsin did a good job of contesting most NOVA drives to the basket. Down the stretch, NOVA should have had other plays to execute, but it seems they were committed to having Josh Hart take it to the rim, even if he was not having great success at it. I guess they were hoping for contact and fouls, but it didn't pay off. This game really showed how they missed Chef on the defensive end, but also for his play in the paint. Wisconsin was a bad matchup with their size.

We missed some gimmes, wasted possessions, and it was like Wisconsin didn't waste anything all game. They were the better team today.

Both Hall and NOVA played bad games, maybe there were questionable calls, but there momentum changing plays in both games outside of fouls or non-calls; that huge stuff in the Hall game yesterday where Hall had its biggest lead at the time, but then Arkansas hit a 3 off the block. And today, when NOVA had a 7 point lead and Divicenzo (sorry for spelling) made and ill advised drive to the basket where he was stuffed and Wisconsin picked up momentum.

Frustrating games.

I was hoping our 2nd round bug-a-boo was a thing of the past, apparently not. I have extremely high confidence in Nova in any other round than the 2nd, especially has a higher seed. Doesn't help that 9 out of 10 times we seem to get an under seeded team, a really hot team, or a horrible match-up. Plus when we crash out we never seem to play anything close to our best game, sick of these B- type games in the 2nd round.

I agree. The tournament alone is not an accurate way to judge a league. But it is the time when most people are watching and as a result will form the majority of opinions on our league.
