NCAA: Bracket, Schedule, and Non-Big East Games

The home for Big East hoops

The ACC had 3 games on Saturday.
- Notre Dame lost to West Virginia by around 10.
- Florida State lost at home to Xavier by 25.
- Virginia lost on the road to Florida by around 30, scoring only 39 points themselves.
.
Key point i think is that in looking at the BE with 2 of 7 left, and the ACC at 3 of 9 left...
.
Big East's 5 wins are by 12, 11, 20, 9, and 25..
- 5 comfortable wins.
.
Big East's 5 losses are by 4, 7, 12, 20 (tied w 8 mins left), and 4.
- 2 losses in the final minute.
- one loss we were up by 17 pts, and ked til 5 mins left in game.
- one loss the BE team was winning on the road with 10 minutes left.
- one legit loss, but where the BE was down only 5 to 7 points most of the game.
.
ACC's 6 wins were by 5, 2, 5, 39, 22, 15.
- in 3 of the ACC's wins, they barely won, each against teams with seeds 12 or worse (Princeton, Wilmington, FGCU).

ACC's 6 losses were by 7, 10, 20, 12, 25 and 26.
- in 3 losses they were crushed throughout from the opening tip (Mia, FSU, Va).
- in their 3 other losses they were behind wire-to-wire.
.
Actually, in all 6 of their losses, the ACC may never have held a lead at any point in those games... 240 minutes of playing catch-up in their 6 losses, mostly by double-digits.
.
Of the ACC's 3 remaining teams, 1 had fake classes for 25+ years, 1 ran a hooker operation, and 1 has a player who is a serial tripper that sat one freakin game.

You might have been comfortable during Butler's wins billy, but I can say pretty definitively that I was not. ;)

I'm not worried about other leagues and how they are doing. The tournament is such a crap shoot every year, and I dislike the fact that it's used as a barometer for a conference's strength or weakness. The Big East is a very good basketball conference. Top to bottom, it's one of the better ones in the country, and I'm proud that the team I root for is in it.

Some very suspect calls just before the close of the first half in this Michigan/Louisville game. Michigan players called for two reach ins that appeared clean, especially the last one. In part because of this, Louisville goes on a run to end the first half.

Overall, the officiating has left something to be desired so far the tournament.

Always happy seeing an ACC team go down.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I love how Kingsley is off to a slow start after being just unconscious Friday against Seton Hall.

Yes, i agree with you... ultimately, the NCAA's aren't the real barometer on conference strength. NCAA's are very much based on seeding, location, weird bounces, weird refereeing, whether a guy gets hot like Curry, etc...
