How many NCAA units will the Big East earn in 2017 NCAAs?

If the Big East goes winless in all games, the conference would earn 7 NCAA units. How many do you think the league will earn?

Each game counts as one unit although participating in the national title game does not add a unit for some reason. Vegas will usually set an over/under - I'm guessing the number will be 13 or so. And playing in the first four counts as a full NCAA unit.

And this is how you sustain a league. The money we can earn for all the schools is invaluable. 7 of 10 is unbelievable. Time to pick up some slack for Nova and do our part and win some games in March.

looking at it, if the teams all just do what they're supposed to do by seed, the league would get 14 or 15 units(depending on if PC wins their FF game).

by comparison the league last year got 12 units by 5 teams.

Based on seeds/matchups I counted 19 credits including Prov's 2 W's. However, I voted 17 as unexpected changes occur to alter plans. That's a nice piece of change for the BE.

The ACC earned 25 units last year, which I believe is the record. 17 units by the BE would surpass that in per school basis, although how the BE distributes the money is unknown.

See why it's so important to have high percentage of the league make the dance? 17 is totally doable without having to place 4 (vs 6 by ACC last year) teams in the sweet 16.

USC is going to be a it challenge in the first 4. I'm not counting on a win there until all my nails are chewed down.

You would think at some point one BE team not named Nova gets red hot. My darkhorse for the tourney is Seton Hall. They can shoot, they defend, they rebound. Delgado is an absolute beast and if he is peaking, I expect Seton Hall to make the Sweet 16 and raise some eyebrows. They have the talent. It's such a shame that Xavier and Creighton were slaughtered with terrible injuries and bad luck, because they could have easily made the Sweet 16 as well. I would think that Butler and/or Seton Hall have to step up here. If Nova goes out early, we are in big trouble and you know we will hear the pundits saying stuff like "Was it just a magical year last year for Villanova and the Big East?". We don't need to win the whole thing again, but we really need several teams going to the Sweet 16. Anything can happen and though our seeds aren't good (sans Nova and Butler), I expect the law of averages to take over. Eventually as long as we get 5-7 teams in the tourney, some other teams will go on a run.

I think the Big East is going to get something like 18-20 NCAA credits this NCAA at $266k per game spread over 10 teams.

We really need to show up this year. Nova basically gave the rest of us a pass but it is time we earned our stripes. We really should have 3 sweet 16 teams, anything less is a failure.

3 is going to be tough....
Nova with Wisconsin likely in rd 2.
Providence with USC, SMU, and Baylor- in Tulsa
Marquette with South Carolina and Duke- in Greenville
Xavier with Maryland and Florida St- in Orlando
Creighton with Rhode Island and Oregon- in Sacramento
Seton Hall with Arkansas and UNC- in Greenville
Butler with Minnesota likely in rd 2.

Nova and Butler I like their chances- though Nova got as tough of an 8 as we've seen in a while. I wouldn't say 3 is a failure as with where seeded, 2 is what is expected.
