Current Standings:

1. Villanova LOCK (14-3)
2. Butler LOCK (12-5)
3. Creighton (10-7)
4. Seton Hall (9-8)
5. Providence (9-8)
6. Xavier (8-8)
7. Marquette (8-8)
8. St. John's LOCK (7-10)
9. Georgetown LOCK (5-12)
10. DePaul LOCK (2-15)

Here are the upper and lower limits for each unlocked team (to the best of my knowledge):
-Creighton: 3rd-6th
-Seton Hall: 3rd-7th
-Providence: 3rd-7th
-Xavier: 3rd-7th
-Marquette: 3rd-7th

EDIT: Fixed St. John's and Marquette

Crazy that in the last week of the season, half the league still has a chance to finish 3rd. And prior to last night, none of those same 5 had clinched a 1st round bye in the BET.

Small nitpick. Marquette can't get the 8 seed. Worst case, they would be 8-10 tied with SJU for 7th/8th. Marquette would get the 7 seed based on their win over Nova. There cannot be a 3-way tie for the 8th spot.

Also, SJU lost twice to X, so X would win the tiebreaker with SJU as well. I believe SJU is locked into the 8 spot.

St John's is locked into the 8 seed....

got 2 teams with 8 wins.... And max wins for St John's now is 8.

Xavier- swept St John's.
Marquette- 1-1 vs St John's. but beat Nova which is tiebreaker then.

Shouldn't Providence also be above Seton Hall due to their Butler win? Or does that temporarily not apply since SHU has only played Butler once?

The current bracket weirdly has the eastern schools on one side, and the westerns on the other.

Also, PC is locked into 6th or better:
- loser of XU-Marquette would lose a tiebreaker with PC (due to Friars' sweep of Marquette and their win vs Butler). Also, PC would not lose any combination of 3-way or 4-way ties, due to their h2h records combined with their Butler win.

Isn't Creighton guaranteed no worse than 4th, since they hold the tiebreaker with everyone but MU? (2-0 v Butler) Could be wrong since I'm not really sure I completely understand all the tiebreak procedures.

looking at a few absolutes:
Marquette will win any 2 team tiebreak except vs Providence.
Creighton will be in 3rd unless Marquette wins out. They have a sweep vs Butler and they are 1-1 vs Providence, Xavier, and Seton Hall.
so if Xavier beats Marquette tonight, Creighton clinches 3rd
