I'm torn on the idea of getting rid of the 1 and 1.

On one hand, I love that it discourages the practice of intentionally fouling poor free throw shooters as a defensive strategy (we've seen a good deal of hack-an-Angel this year). On the other hand, I'm afraid it'll take some excitement out of the end of games. I sort of see the point about not wanting to punish the team that played better, but comebacks and last minute drama are exciting, and 1 and 1s only stand to increase it.

the rule will get rid of comebacks, but if you have to rely on other team missing at the line then that's not so much a comeback as it is a meltdown by the other team. I don't find that exciting or entertaining.
