Their starting center is an undersized walk on. That should tell you all you need to know regarding the talent on that team.

I know they're not quite talented, but you can lack talent, and still play smartly. Actually, they've been playing rather smart since my initial post on the subject.

Georgetown goes home with a win...barely. JT3s gotta go. It seems like every year his team looks less and less motivated. With the recruit he gets, he really need to play an up tempo style offense and "disruptive" style defense

I don't really get into what a school or team does with their coach (only, if it relates to my team), but I do think their current winning streak is a mirage. I think they'll end up either 1-3 or 0-4 in their next four games.

The Hoyas are in a good place right now. RPI of 53 and no losses worse than Arkansas State (RPI in the 80's). Wins over Oregon neutral, at Butler, home Creighton, home UConn, road Syracuse. Their RPI has improved 40 points in a week.

Meanwhile, Providence gained 4 RPI points while sitting around idle since Saturday, putting us at 60. So, as of this minute, the Big East has 8 teams in the Top 60 in RPI.

Other bubble developments include Pitt dropping to 1-8 in the ACC... though their RPI is 56. Their non-conf has wins over Maryland and Marquette, plus W over Virginia, but a loss to Duquesne. Has any team ever made the NCAA's at 4 games under 500 in conf play? This means Pitt would need to go 7-2 to get to 8-10. Point being, it's another possible slot that a BE team could take.

Lot of hoops left, but there is a path to 8 bids, however unlikely, as the Friars would have to do cartwheels and contortions to get a bid, but still... and 80% would be an all-time record.

I think it's time for Nova to share that RPI with the Friars and Hoyas :D .

Georgetown still needs to go 5-3 down the stretch to get in. With 2 games with Nova, 2 with Seton Hall, and singles with Marquette and Creighton. That's tough. I don't think any basketball person would really say they're in a good place right now. No team right now with 10 losses is in a good place right now at all whatsoever.

Well a win is a win, but man was that ugly. Refs didn't help but jeez so many turnovers. DePaul also has an unfair advantage. They miss their shots so badly the offensive player has the advantage on the rebound :D

Of course they're in a good place. They'll be favored to win 4 of their last 8 games. They just have to steal one more. The Creighton and Seton Hall games on the road are both winnable games for Georgetown. Any basketball person would see those games as opportunities instead of acting like they're already lost. If they can't win one of those two games, they don't deserve to go to the tournament. It's up to them.
