The same year Providence won the Big East tournament against Doug McDermott's squad and hung tight with UNC in the NCAA tournament, they lost at BC. Providence look asleep the middle of the second half. BC's guards played well and they hit a lot of threes.

Not trying to make excuses. Just noting that these kinds of inexplicable off nights seem to occur all too often when teams are coming off exams and have missed a lot of practices.

I watched some of this game and BC got really hot on 3's with some lucky shots going in off the backboard. At other times the Friars just seemed out of synch, repeatedly unable at times to even make a layup after penetrating the defense. Momma said there'd be days like this.

Well Seton Hall almost made this a disaster of a day. At least they pulled it together in the second half and got the win.

Unsurprisingly DePaul is down 12 at half to Missouri St.

How can u play with your center being 6'5? I know Hamilton left but geez, thats leaving yourself really thin up front.

All I can say is sorry that DePaul is so bad right now. It will be an easy win for all Big East Team to help their win totals.

Its got to change someday soon.

I'd like to thank Seton Hall for getting the win today thankfully.

Me, I'm going to dip into the egg nog a night early here.

As Bill said, we seemed out of sync most of the game. Even still, a couple of times we had a 7 point lead (one time with like 12 minutes or so left) and then those d-bags would immediately hit a 3. We were up 1 with 10 to play i think, but then BC couldn't miss, like they hit maybe 5 threes over the next 6 minutes. Must've shot 70% from the field in the 2nd half.

BC is the worst type of team. We gain nothing from playing them. I'd rather make sure we schedule Bryant and drop these a-holes. Or schedule home and homes with Northeastern.

They have no balls so they lose to freakin Hartford and Fairfield, and I can't imagine they gave 10% of the effort in those games that they played with today... then against a team like PC they play carefree, with no pressure cuz none of their fans notice or care if they lose, and they get away with disjointed play, then get hot from the field... even after all that they were still ready to choke away a 20 point lead with 3:42 left (lead cut to 6 by the 2 minute mark), but were aided by that fucker O'Connell on the Maliek White steal, then they banked a 3 in with 1 second left on the shot clock. I mean c'mon.

Now they can start their annual march to 0-18 to really f-ck us over. With 8 people in the stands cuz their fans blow. What a bunch a freakin losers.

Anyway...

10-3 in non-conference with our really young team... i can't be disappointed in that. We've been playing really solid ball so far, got several decent wins vs URI, UMass and Vermont and/or Memphis. Hopefully this BC loss doesn't hurt the Big East in getting an extra bid if there's a tight bubble watch.

Thought exercise: Considering conference, sustained level of play, resources, etc.....Is DePaul the worst program in the country?

Pretty awesome rant. I hate them too now.

I get that but... just look at Ken Pom.....
before the games
St John's was 136, Syracuse was 30 so delta was 106
BC was 216, Providence was 52 so delta was 164
