Creighton was terrible the second half and OR absolutely outplayed us and controlled the tempo. Hopefully that was a learning experience. Shout out to the rest of the league teams that won today. We almost ruined things with a terrible loss. A win is a win though!

Pretty good day for the conference... Just a week from now we can go back to hating each other!

Today was as an important and impressive performance from the conference as I can recall (during the regular season). Not only did the conference go 7-0, but the league knocked off teams like Syracuse (a former heated Big East rival), Indiana (a national Blue Blood), and Wake Forest (an impressive win, no matter the w/l record), while also taking care of business against Chicago State, Delaware, Wagner and and Oral Roberts - all games that should have been a win.

The Big East has the best conference RPI, the best conference SOS, the reigning national champion, the current number one team in the country, and is currently projected to once again get at least 50% of the conference in (5 teams in - good for third best in the country).

Man, it feels great to say that we belong to the best basketball conference in the country!

The first rule of Fight Club is that you never apologize for a close win, even against a sucky team.
Instead, explain that you were crushing ORU and got bored, which is pretty much what happened.
A game like this will end up helping you in the long run.

This might've been mentioned somewhere, but there were 2 mega-runs yesterday in our blowout games:
Down 10-4, PC went on a 31-0 run vs Wagner over the course of 12 minutes.
Down 2-0, DePaul went on a 22-0 run vs Chicago State.
In both situations it wasn't the result of a press... each was done via great active halfcourt defense and good ball movement on offense.

Good trends at the very least.

Man, Doug Gottlieb is such a Big East hater. We go 7-0 yesterday and not one comment about any of the games, u would think Butler beating Indiana would get a mention or Georgetown winning at Syracuse. He seemed to mention all the other big games yesterday. Of course today, he bags on SJU not showing up (which is true).
