I have a few "ceremonial titles" bestowed upon me by the Creighton fan brethren - fraud and troll are not among them.
My favs are: "the Black-eye, _sshole, and pretentious prick" of Creighton fandom - badges I wear with Pride! Get over it MS.
Luv you guys... Go Big East!

But with the loss of Jones/Dunham to graduation, I predicted them finishing in the bottom third of the Big East this year. If you told me six months ago they would be nationally ranked in mid December, I wouldn't have believed you.

Providence has been a pleasant surprise as well. They have a very short bench though. It will be interesting to see how they hold up during two months of conference play.

I was hoping to see a bigger bump in Mullin's second year but he still has a very young team. Bummed that Sima transferred out.

Very short bench? These are the dumb things that tick PC fans off lol. Anyone who has watched more than 3 games of Friar basketball this year can see that this is the first time since this conference's reincarnation that the team has depth. They run 10 deep and all 10 are Big East talents.

In defense of the original statement, Cooley will definitely cut the bench way down for the BE part of the schedule. It was even asked at the Wagner press conference. PC has way more depth than in prior years but the freshmen may be a year away.

It's going to be really interesting with Marquette and Seton Hall. Can they get wins off of the top 4? That's going to tell their entire story. Marquette has already 1 non top 4 loss, Seton Hall 2 non top 4 losses. Both need to go 7-5 probably to make the tourney- or 6-6 but make the BET SF.

Marquette in 12/25 brackets that were done post marathon
Seton Hall in 18/25 brackets that were done post marathon

Lunardi's newest bracket would have Butler in Indianapolis for the Sweet 16 / Elite 8.

---- I read this wrong. Looking at this on the phone it looked like Indianapolis was on the Region but it was just because of the CSS and the length of the word. Its just the opening round of the connected bracket.

Launardi has Xavier in Indianapolis. Would love that. Of course it won't happen but fun to think. Just avoid the 8-9 seed and not get matched with Cincinnati and I'll be happy.

Bracketology – Joe Lunardi – January 19, 2017 (30 minutes ago)

# 1 - Villanova
# 3 – Creighton
# 3 - Butler
# 6 – Xavier
# 12 – Seton Hall (play-in game)

Butler moves up one place, Seton Hall down one place, and still no love for Marquette.
